Meet the crew!
Angel, Lead Certified Veterinary Technician
Angel graduated from Madison Area Technical College in 2004 with a Veterinary Technology degree and received her certification same year. She joined us in 2006 and became our lead technician in 2008. Angel goes to numerous continuing education events including the Western Veterinary Conference in Las Vegas. Her special interests include alternative modalities and nutrition. She is available for nutrition consults.
Angel and her husband, Kris share their house with Bandit, a 3 legged Blue Heeler and Leo (a Dalmatian). Angel loves spending time with her family and animals.
When Angel has spare time she enjoys traveling or reading a good book. She is also involved in United Way for Portage County and fosters through Portage County Humane Society.
Emily, Certified Veterinary Technician
Emily earned her Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology at Madison Area Technical College and joined us as a CVT in 2004. She shares her home with her husband Jaime, daughters Violet and Abigail, a black lab called Clyde, Chloe the cat, and 3 horses named Nikki, Cody and Poppy.
She has a strong interest in animal behavior. Emily is certified in Fear Free handling and experienced in low stress techniques. She is a member of the Society of Veterinary Behavior Technicians.
Becca, Certified Veterinary Technician
Becca joined the clinic in 2005 after graduating from UWSP with a Bachelor of Science Degree. She became a certified veterinary technician in 2007. Becca and her husband Keith have three children, Ava, Zoe, and Oliver. Her fur family consists of 3 horses: Jet, Mr Pickles and Mariah. Her cats are Stormy and Cheetah.
In her down time, she enjoys reading and spending time with her family and fur babies.
Becca also enjoys working on her family’s dairy farm.
Monica, Certified Veterinary Technician
Monica joined us in 2012, bringing previous experience with her. She calls herself a “Chronic Student” having an Associates Degree in Marketing and in Business Management/Entrepreneurship. In 2014, through Purdue University, she became a Certified Veterinary Technician.
Monica acts as our primary surgical technician and has a special interest in working with exotic pets.
When not working, if the season allows, you will see her out on the Softball Fields as she is an avid softball player.
Monica shares her home with her boyfriend Ryan Miller, 4 children, 3 dogs, 1 ferret, 2 cats, 1 Quaker Parakeet, and 1 Amazon Parrot.
Christina, Certified Veterinary Technician
Christina graduated from Madison Area Technical College. She joined us in 2016. She is our therapy laser technician.
She and her husband David have a son named Kaysen. They also share their home with 2 cats, Moby and Annabelle, and a bearded dragon named Leonard.
In her spare time, Christina enjoys spending time with her family, often camping up north and being outside.
Nikki, Certified Veterinary Technician
Nikki started working at Oakview in July of 2014 and we are so very glad she did. She brings a smile to work everyday.
Nikki shares her life with her son, canine friend Finn and her horse Bristol.
Her outside interests include horseback riding and trap shooting.
Amanda, Veterinary Assistant
Amanda was born in Indiana but has lived in Stevens Point most of her life. She joined the Oakview team in March of 2016 and has quickly become part of the family.
She enjoys Motorcycle riding and Horseback riding when not working.
She shares her life with her significant other, Kevin and their Siberian Huskies Storm, Hale, and Zepplin.
Lindsay, Veterinary Assistant
Lindsay has a bachelor’s degree in zoology from UWM and joined our team in 2017. She was born in Wisconsin Rapids and raised all over the globe, including England and Texas.
Lindsay has 4 pets: Cerberus, Tchotchke, Meilas, Lynus. Her hobbies include drawing, gardening, reading, biking, and baking.
Kim, Veterinary Assistant
Kim joined us in 2016. She earned her associates degree in 2018 and passed her veterinary technician certification exam.
Kim was raised in Florida, but moved here in 2012. She shares a home with her fiance, a guinea pig named Gizmo, and two rescue dogs, Blooper and Slugger.
Kim enjoys softball, reading, and music.
