I am currently a student at Northcentral Technical College studying Veterinary Science. I
wanted to become a kennel attendant to gain experience from interacting with dogs and cats. I pursued this job because I wanted to experience the compassion that I’ve see when others work with animals. This will help me build my skills while enjoying what I love most … animals. It is interesting to watch all the different behaviors of dogs and cats.

As a kennel attendant we want to decrease stress and make them feel more at home. I love when a dog has the uttermost joy when coming in. It makes my day when they are so happy to see us. My goals would be to become a Certified Veterinary Technician. My favorite thing I love about kennels is the play time! To be with them playing really gets our exercise for the day. Seeing their faces light up when you have a ball just makes my day. Some will play and some will lounge in the sun the whole time either begging for treats or asking for you to come give them attention.
